Love mysteries and Australian accents? Netflix has a new show for you. The Survivors—based on the book of the same name by Jane Harper—premieres on June 6. The six-episode limited series follows Kieran Elliott, a man who returns to his hometown of Evelyn Bay 15 years after his community experienced a tragedy. During a storm, two people who were close to Kieran died, while a third, a young girl, went missing. When Kieran and his wife, Mia, come back home to be with Kieran's parents—now as parents themselves—the tragedy resurfaces, an investigation into what really happened begins, and everything the people of Evelyn Bay thought they knew about the situation is brought into question. (By the way, isn't "Evelyn Bay" the perfect name for a place where a mystery is going down? It's very soap opera.)
